Let's all hope the internal out of bounds doesn't affect the Open

I can already see it now. Tiger Woods leads by two over Rickie Fowler on Sunday and is standing on the 18th tee needing a bogey for the win.

He cuts his 3-wood too far to the right and it rolls 10 yards off the fairway into the internal out-of-bounds area.

He makes double bogey and loses in a playoff.

RIP the Internet.

It's certainly a possibility and it's made so by this strange little out-of-bounds area inside of three different holes on the British Open course at Hoylake, including No. 18.

Here's a look (No. 18 is at the top left):

Fowler also put a photo of it from inside the ropes on Instagram. Look how close it is to the fairway!

It makes for an interesting quirk to this golf course but I really hope it doesn't decide the tournament on Sunday.
