Tiger Woods withdrew from the Bridgestone Invitational during his fourth round on Sunday with an apparently bad back. Woods hit his drive on the 9th hole and then walked off the course.

Here's a look:

It sounds pretty serious:

Woods told Golf Channel's Jason Sobel that he pulled the lower part of his back on the second hole and then tried to play through it.

"Happened on the second hole when I hit my second shot" said Woods. "I fell back into the bunker. Just jarred it. It's been spasming ever since. It's just the whole lower back. I don't know what happened."

Here's the video:

This is Woods' fifth time to withdraw from a tournament in the last five years.

Here's a look at him leaving:

You'd have to think Woods' season is now over with the PGA Championship and Ryder Cup looming. He didn't have much of a comment but I'd be stunned if he played either.

"I don't know," Woods said. "Just trying to get out of here."

That sums it up, doesn't it?
