Remember when John Daly won the 1991 PGA Championship as the ninth alternate? Steve Flesch might have a chance to do him one better this week.

Flesch is the 93rd alternate but the only golfer on site so if anybody pulls out of the tournament before Thursday afternoon's late tee times, Flesch will get the call.

The best part? The PGA of America had to go into the Golf Channel back room to notify Flesch as he's working the event for the network.

Flesch has actually played in four events this year including last week's Barracuda Championship where he finished T21.
