Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler are a combined six years older than the man they were both trying to beat on Sunday at Valhalla, Phil Mickelson.
Both 25-year-olds should be in contention at majors for the next decade and you know what, that's a tremendous thing for golf.
They are two of the smoothest, most gracious golfers around and their respect for each other is pretty apparent.
And it was on display on Sunday after McIlroy won the PGA Championship for his fourth major.
Here's their Twitter exchange:
@RickieFowlerPGA your day is coming... And very soon! Great fight out there, let's hope for many more battles in the future!— Rory Mcilroy (@McIlroyRory) August 11, 2014
Golf isn't dead (or something like that)!
