Leave it to Tiger Woods to deliver a hot take on...himself.

Woods said on Tuesday that he doesn't think he would have earned the US squad a single point.

"I wouldn't be ready...and I just couldn't help the team," said Woods.

"When your name is called you have to be able to go out there and get a point and I just didn't feel I could be ready enough to get a point."

Fair enough, even though the bigger reason is still because he didn't want to get put in a spot where Tom Watson was selecting, ahem, Chris Kirk over the second greatest golfer ever.

"It was time to shut it down, get stronger, get more explosive again and get back for next year," Woods said.

"I probably won't be swinging a club for another month but just getting stronger each and every day. I'm in the gym two or three times a day."

I'm not sure that's what Woods needs if these photos from The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon are any indication.
