Phil Mickelson said on CBS This Morning on Tuesday that he's a fan of President Obama playing golf and specifically that he loves "the fact that our president is a left-handed golfer."

He also had a bunker-playing tip for Obama when the US Presidents Cup team visited the White House a few months ago.

"The very simple thing that I told him is that you've got to have the ball forward in your stance and you've got to have your weight forward," said Mickelson.

He then said Obama went on to play the following week and attributed his better bunker play to Mickelson's lesson.

Mickelson, of course, infamously complained at the beginning of 2013 about the taxes he pays as a resident of California. Even that, though, isn't enough to deter him from handing out golf tips to the leader of the free world.
