Adams comes out with new logo and throwback club
Adams Golf releases their new and improved Tight Lies fairway wood as well as a new logo.
Adams is re-introducing golfers everywhere to an old friend.
We all had one, or if we didn't we knew somebody who did and hit his or her Tight Lies fairway wood all the time, every chance we could get.
Justin Honea, Director of Adams R&D said in a press release that the Tight Lies is better than ever:
“In the ever-present pursuit of maximum distance, today’s fairway woods have become mini-drivers – extremely difficult to hit from anywhere other than from a tee,. The low profile design places the center of gravity (CG) below the CG of the ball, making it easy to hit the ball in the air. The unique tri-sole design makes it easy to hit from a multitude of challenging lies and then we added a refined Cut-Thru Slot design so this new Tight Lies is twice as hot as the original. It’s the perfect blend of playability and performance.”
In conjunction with the club release Adams is is also changing up its logo a little bit from this older, less sleek look to the one you see to the right. I like the new cursive look and think it will play well to Adams' demographic.
A couple of big announcements from Adams between the British Open and PGA Championship and I like both of them a lot. The club will start shipping in the middle of August.
Can't wait to borrow a friend's Tight Lies either.
