Billy Horschel wears octopus pants on Sunday at the US Open
The pants Billy Horschel will wear on Sunday at the US Open are just absolutely spectacular.
Yep, that's a real headline.
Billy Horschel tweeted these photos of his outfits for the 2013 US Open on Wednesday afternoon:
At first I was confused because I thought those were little US Open trophies on his Sunday pants which is, you know, a little arrogant for a guy who, two months ago, didn't have a PGA Tour win.
I thought we were getting our 2013 version of those insane Sunday Ryder Cup shirts in 1999.
I was wrong, though. After a little help from Stina Sternberg (Golf Digest Global Director) and some digging on the Ralph Lauren site (so many strong-bodied male models!) I realized they were little octopi. Have a look for yourself:
So we're basically looking at one of the all-time scenarios on Sunday where a wily-eyed Horschel wearing octopus pants is receiving a US Open trophy from some stodgy USGA official on national television.
Please, God, let it be.
Update: Here's a look at Horschel in the pants.
Well here they are! The highly anticipated highly controversial....Octopus pants! Great outfits all week by RLX! pic.twitter.com/UrQwSYWZkB— Billy Horschel (@BillyHo_Golf) June 16, 2013
