Donald Trump gets 2022 PGA Championship
The Donald is taking over The Golf. Trump locked down the 2022 PGA Championship and could host three of the four majors in the near future.
The PGA of America announced at the end of last week that one of Donald Trump's golf courses -- Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. -- will be home to the 2022 PGA Championship.
It will be the third different course in New Jersey to host a PGA Championship.
"It is my great honor to be involved with the PGA of America, an organization which I have long respected," said Trump.
As Geoff Shackelford wrote, this might just be the beginning. We could be looking at three majors in a five year span at Trump courses.
Is that good or bad?
It probably depends on how you feel about The Donald, but as Alan Shipnuck points out on Golf.com this week, it doesn't really matter how you feel.
"Trump can certainly grate but he loves golf and he brings extra buzz, so it's time to embrace him and recognize his new importance to the game."
