Donald Trump takes time to congratulate John Daly on first senior circuit win

John Daly got a champagne bath, and then he got props from the POTUS

John Daly received a champagne shower from his friends after his PGA Tour Champions victory on Sunday at the Insperity Invitational. The win was his first on the PGA Tour's senior circuit and his first official victory anywhere in over a decade.

"It's just awesome," Daly told reporters after his one-stroke victory over Tommy Armour III. "I want to let all my sponsors know that I love them and thank them for everything."

On Monday morning, Daly received a message from the President of the United States. His pal Donald Trump congratulated him on his win in Houston, which also happened to be his first top 10 on the PGA Tour Champions in over 20 tries.

Daly and Trump have a long-running friendship, and Daly was vocal about his public endorsement of Trump before last year's election.
