One withdrawal does not a pattern make, but this is WD No. 2 for Jason Day in the past two tournaments.

It was announced Monday that Day was withdrawing from the Arnold Palmer Invitational with a thumb injury after pulling out of the Cadillac Championship two weeks ago.

The real concern for Day has to be the Masters, which starts in three weeks.

Day is the No. 4 golfer in the world.
