Jason Day withdraws from RBC Heritage with thumb injury
The Australian is expected to be in a cast for the next two weeks.
Jason Day's return to competitive golf was short-lived.
The Australian will not play in this week's RBC Heritage, and he isn't expected back on the course until the Players Championship in May.
Day originally injured his left thumb in February, missing six weeks. He returned to play the Masters last week, where he barely made the cut.
According to his agent, Day's left hand will be in a cast for the next couple weeks as a precaution.
