Josh Beckett plays Pine Valley, throws no-hitter
Josh Beckett is a connoisseur of elite golf courses, it appears. And elite pitching performances.
Josh Beckett pitched the 11th no-hitter in Los Angeles Dodgers history on Sunday but that might not be his most exclusive feat of the weekend.
The 34-year-old pitcher got to play the No. 1 golf course in the country -- Pine Valley -- earlier in the weekend.
@Dodgers P Josh Beckett after game. "I may be the only pitcher to play Pine Valley (no.1 course in world) and pitch no hitter same wkend— Howard Eskin (@howardeskin) May 25, 2014
I'm guessing the list of folks who have done that is exactly one.
Now if he can just pull off the Jordan Spieth Augusta-Pine Valley double in the same day and throw a no-no, then I'll be impressed.
