Lee Westwood is not a fan of US Open wicker baskets

Lee Westwood was playing the par-4 No. 12 hole on Thursday when he struck the wicker basket on top of the pin. The ball careened off the front of the front of the green and Westwood went on to make double bogey.

After his round Westwood tweeted the following:

Westwood ended the day at 1 under.

Good times at Merion for all. I can't wait until these baskets come into play on Sunday and everybody freaks out about them.
