I'm reading a great book right now called Jenkins at the Majors about Dan Jenkins and his writing at the four big ones. His stuff about the on deadline nature of Augusta is just fantastic. It really paints a picture of what that old press tent was like.
And how about Jack Nicklaus sitting on a couch after winning the 1966 Masters in a playoff over Tommy Jacobs and Gay Brewer.
That's the press room. A couch! Can you imagine Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson posting up on a plaid couch after donning the green jacket in the modern day?
That would be incredible.
