Masters Countdown: Old leaderboard hasn't changed
The leaderboard from the 1948 Masters looks pretty much the same now.
One of my favorite things about the Masters is how little it's changed over the last 75 years. That photo you see above is the leaderboard from the 1948 Masters.
It looks pretty much exactly the same 65 years later at the 2013 Masters:
It's bigger but still manual, each player's score for each hole updated as the tournament churns on.
Just 27 more days.
This week's 80-team event in New Orleans came together in some odd ways
Jason Day-Rickie Fowler and Henrik Stenson-Justin Rose make up the heavyweight teams
Kaufman is certainly enjoying his tour of New Orleans
Jack Nicklaus nearly clips Doug Sanders with his putter after winning at St. Andrews
This gator fight is intense but ends with a whimper
The new rules are great, but they ultimately might not be enough
