Michelle Wie on career: 'I wouldn't give anything back'

Michelle Wie went on the Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday to talk about her US Women's Open win and discuss her oft-discussed history with Dan.

I thought she was candid and had fun with it. It says a lot about her that she can roll with the twerking thing and turn the spotlight away from herself at the same time. Tiger Woods is proud of that deflection (can you imagine Tiger twerking, by the way?)

She also said she doesn't regret any part of her journey, even the downturns and, uh, parental and maturity issues.

"I wouldn't give anything back. It's hard, parents don't have a manual about how to handle kids."

That's why the hug with her mom on No. 18 at Pinehurst on Sunday had to be extra sweet.

"We certainly made mistakes along the way but I think we all learned from it," said Wie.

Good stuff from Wie, and hopefully much more to come.
