Peyton Manning shoots 77 at Augusta National
Sometimes life isn't fair, and that's perfectly exemplified by the fact that one of the greatest NFL quarterbacks of all time broke 80 at Augusta National.
Sometimes life just isn't fair.
You'd think it would be enough for Peyton Manning to enjoy the spoils of being able to throw a football better than 99.99 percent of the population. You'd think a Super Bowl and multiple MVPs would be enough to satiate a hungry athlete like Manning.
Of course it's not, though.
According to this article in the Los Angeles Times he went out and shot a 77 at Augusta National last weekend.
Manning was playing with Broncos coach John Fox and vice president John Elway. The three were being hosted at Augusta by one of Fox's friends. Elway shot a 79, 74, and 72, which is equally ridiculous.
Cooper Manning spoke about his brother's feat as well as a few other endeavors Peyton has taken on this offseason.
"That's the stuff he loves to do. Sitting there in a training room or a hospital bed, that stuff is for the birds. He's appreciating his health, appreciating the position he's in. He's excited about the off-season moves, and I would say he's as hungry as ever."
A 77 at Augusta National. I sure hope that fills him up.
By the way, your move, Tony Romo.
