Daly, of course, famously won as the ninth (!) alternate in his first time out at one of these things. His career at the PGA hasn't gone quite so well since then.
A look at his finishes: 82, T51, CUT, CUT, CUT, T29, CUT, CUT, CUT, CUT, CUT, CUT, T74, CUT, T32, CUT, WD, WD, CUT, T18.
Daly has been cut in both PGA Championships at Valhalla (1996 and 2000).
He's playing on Thursday and Friday with Mark Brooks and Rich Beem.
