While Martin Kaymer and Jordan Spieth were duking it out stateside the European Tour was mourning the loss of one of their own -- caddie Ian McGregor, who had a heart attack on the 9th hole of the Madeira Islands Open on Sunday.

McGregor was caddying for Alastair Forsyth of Scotland when it happened. Forsyth told BBC it affected him deeply but was glad they continued with the tournament.

"We felt that was what Mac would have wanted," said Forsyth.

"Everybody is in shock. To see that happen to someone in front of your eyes... I don't know how or when you get over that

I agree. That's a rough, powerful scene.
