The epicenter of the golf world is at Doral right now, especially with the leaderboard loaded with stars the way it is. Here's a good roundup of Thursday including this from Tiger Woods on Rory McIlroy:
''That happens, and we have all gone through stretches like this,'' Woods said. ''It happens, and it happened to him last year in the middle of the year, and ended up all right at the end of the year. When you play golf for a very long time, you're going to have spells like this. You can't play well every week, even though you try. You're going to have ups and downs, and just got to battle through it." (AP)

Bubba Watson on the first round: "We should be able to play good golf in these kind of conditions. When you put us in these groupings, these elite fields like this, you’re always playing with a top-notch player. You just always have to step up your game and stay focused, pretty much like a major championship.” (Golf Channel)
