Thomas Pieters had one of Sunday's best rounds going at The Open Championship when he came to the 11th hole at Royal Troon. And oh, that nasty 11th hole at Royal Troon. It derailed Bubba Watson's third round. Rickie Fowler made an 8 on Saturday. And poor Thomas Pieters lost his mind after hitting his seventh (!) shot from the rough.
He snapped his 5-iron over his knee, threw it in the gorse, marched to his ball and touched off his 9. A quintuple bogey for Pieters to take him from 2 under on the day to 3 over. Pieters took a double bogey there on Friday which means he's taken 23 strokes on that single hole this week.
Sorry, Thomas, we've all been there.
