Tiger: 'I know I'm not that far off'
Tiger Woods is playing Dubai this week and he's not concerned about his game.
Tiger Woods played in the Champions Challenge (not part of the actual tournament) at the Dubai Desert Classic on Tuesday and shot a 1-under 71.
The round was a nice reprieve from those eulogizing his career after he shot a 79 and MDF at the Farmers Insurance Open last weekend.
After his round Woods told Golf Channel he went home on Sunday after the Farmers Insurance Open and practiced his putting in his backyard before heading out for Dubai.
He also noted that he's going to be fine.
"I didn't change anything," said Woods. "I know I'm not that far off. I just happened to have one bad day and that happens."
He's right. I'm not a Tiger apologist but the level of ridiculousness with which people reacted after a single bad round at Torrey Pines on Saturday was insane.
