Tiger Woods shoots opening 68 at Deutsche Bank Championship
Tiger Woods was solid Friday, firing a first round 68.
Showing no ill-effects from a back injury suffered last week, Tiger Woods shot a solid 68 in the first round of the Deutsche Bank Championship Friday at TPC Boston.
He bogeyed the first -- his 10th hole -- before birdying the par-5 second and par-4 sixth. He narrowly missed a finishing birdie at nine, ending with a 3-under par 68.
His outing was somewhat overshadowed by Mickelson, who flirted with a 59 before finishing with an 8-under 63.
For Woods, who was injured last week at The Barclay's, didn't show signs of a lingering issue and reportedly looked fine in his practice round Thursday.
