The European Tour was established in 1972, and though there have been many great moments, there has never been a 59.

Until Friday.

And there were two.

And neither of them count.

First, Jorge Campillo shot a 59 at the Nelson Mandela Championship in South Africa. A few moments later, Colin Nel followed him up with a 59 of his own (after shooting 77 in the first round!)

The problem is that the golfers were playing "lift, clean, place" rules because of the weather so neither 59 is official.

Still, over 40 years without a 59 and then two within 10 minutes of each other? That's just bizarre.
