VIDEO: Rory McIlroy broke the driving range at Cherry Hills

We all know Rory McIlroy is king but we thought it was just king of the course. Now he's proving his dominion extends beyond it, too.

On Tuesday McIlroy smoked a drive over the driving range at Cherry Hills in Colorado. I'll grant you the fact that the pros were only about 270 yards from the net. But still!

McIlroy has said for a while he was excited to see how far he could hit it in the thin air of Colorado. I guess we know now.

Here's a look at his hilarious reaction. Like, "oops, I hope that didn't take somebody's life."

His length wasn't limited to the range, either.

"Rory hit a couple drives 400 yards in our practice round," said Erik Compton, who played with McIlroy on Tuesday.
