VIDEO: This is why Ian Poulter is great
Ian Poulter is just like you and me except that he doesn't make double bogeys and he has his own fashion line.
You may hate Ian Poulter, you may love him, but like I wrote about Tiger Woods yesterday, you care about him. And that's good for golf.
Golf has too many Steve Strickers and Hunter Mahans -- good dudes who never say anything interesting. I don't blame them for that, it's what I would strive for as well, but as a consumer of the sport I love somebody like Poulter.
I feel like this video really captures that well. Poulter is who we would want to be if we were on the PGA Tour -- a businessman who struggles to balance golf and family life. A passionate lover of sport and consumer of nice things.
You might loathe him again in October during the Ryder Cup but for now I'm thankful for the Ian Poulters of the world. They keep the sport interesting.
