Bethany College docked tourney for nude team photo

LINDSBORG, Kan. -- Bethany College's men's golf team will now miss only one tournament this fall as punishment for posing nude for a team picture.
Coach Jon Daniels told the Salina Journal on Saturday that the penalty was reduced from three meets to one, but the central Kansas college's players must fulfill other stipulations.
The team got into trouble when 14 members stood in a line with their pants down around their ankles, with only golf clubs hiding their genitalia, for an unofficial team photo.
One of the Swedes players posted it on his Facebook page.
Daniels says players who mess up during the year will be suspended from a second tournament. Team members must write a letter of apology and do a presentation about the perils of social media.
