Poulter to defend Australian Masters title

  •

SYDNEY (AP) -Tournament organizers say England's Ian Poulter will defend his title at the Australian Masters in November.

Poulter was only the second English winner of the tournament when he claimed the champion's gold jacket last year.

He will line up at Melbourne's Kingston Heath Golf Club in a field that will include 2010 U.S. Open champion Graeme McDowell and Australia's Adam Scott, runner-up in this year's British Open.

The $1 million tournament, co-sanctioned by the Australasian PGA and European tours, runs from Nov. 15 to 18.
