"The first landing area has been reconfigured since the Open was played at Congressional in 1997. There are now three bunkers on the right side of the fairway. The fairway slopes from right to left and two new bunkers guard the far left part of the driving area for those who hope to reach this green in two. Three bunkers pinch the fairway on the right side of the second landing area and misses going over this green will produce some of the toughest recovery shots on the golf course."
