ARCADIA, Calif. -- Favorite Veiled Speed held off Lucky Bid and won by a head in the $80,250 Pinjara Stakes at Santa Anita on Friday.
Ridden by Jon Court, Veiled Speed covered one mile on the turf in 1:36.24 and paid $6.40, $3.60 and $2.60. Lucky Bid returned $7.80 and $4.20. Littlebitofzip paid $4.20 to show.
Veiled Speed earned $47,340 for his first victory after finishing second in his first two races.
