NEW YORK -- Seeking the Ante beat Slew Motion by a length to win the Nassau County Breeders' Cup Stakes, and Uncle Camie won the Bold Ruler Handicap at Belmont Park on Saturday.
Seeking the Ante, ridden by Mike Luzzi, covered seven furlongs in 1:22 4/5 and paid $13, $5.80 and $3.90 in the Grade II, $200,000 race for 3-year-old fillies. The homebred Seeking the Gold filly won for the third time in five starts and earned $120,000 for Chester and Mary Broman.
Slew Motion returned $4.60 and $3.90, and Exit to Heaven paid $5.30 to show.
In the Grade III, $106,600 Bold Ruler co-feature for horses 3 years and older, Uncle Camie beat Don Six by 2¾ lengths.
Ridden by Richard Migliore, Uncle Camie covered six furlongs in 1:08 3/5 and paid $10.80, $3.30 and $2.30. He won for the third time in four starts this year and earned $63,960.
Don Six returned $2.60 and $2.10, and Thunder Touch paid $2.40 to show.
