JAMES L. CLINE PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (March 2, 1999)- SportsLine USA, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLN), publisher of CBS SportsLine (http://cbs.sportsline.com) today announced the promotion of James L. Cline to vice president of finance. Cline joined SportsLine USA in June 1995 as its first director of finance. During his tenure at SportsLine USA, Cline has been responsible for managing the day-to-day activities in accounting, finance, purchasing, insurance, and real estate for the company. He also worked extensively on the initial and secondary equity offerings of the Company.

"James has been a very valuable and loyal employee, and has played an important role in SportsLine's success from the beginning," said Kenneth Sanders, senior vice president and chief financial officer of SportsLine USA. "As we continue to grow, we expect James in his new role to continue to be an important contributor to SportsLine."

Prior to joining SportsLine USA, Cline was the chief financial officer of Penta Press, Inc. in Miami. He also worked in finance for Hilton Hotels after beginning his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen. Cline holds a BBA degree from the University of Texas at El Paso, where he dual majored in accounting and management.
