CBS' Teams Up With Comcast to Deliver In-Depth High School Sports Video on Demand Content in Houston and Comcast Houston Provide Fans with Extensive High School Sports Programming

Nov. 16, 2009 - CAMERON PARK, CA:, the online high school sports leader and a division of CBS Interactive, has partnered with Comcast in an exclusive relationship to deliver extensive high school sports video on demand programming to Comcast Houston. Throughout the 2009-10 school year, will produce hundreds of short form features on high school sports teams and athletes from the Houston area and then make them available on Channel 1 On Demand. Comcast digital cable subscribers can access the wide-ranging content for free via the "Get Local" section on Comcast Houston's On Demand platform.

The programming includes three different types of features, which include:

  • At The Game: Cut-downs and highlights from a variety of games across 12 men's and women's Varsity sports
  • Hometown Heroes: Human interest stories about athletes involved in the community
  • Recruiting Profiles: Highlighting top Houston area athletes being recruited to play in college

This Comcast deal marks's initial foray into the video on demand television landscape. exclusively produces all of the content, which is delivered to Comcast Houston through Clearleap, a web based TV technology platform.
