Most pundits seem to think Evan Longoria has AL ROY wrapped up.  Is he deserving?  Sure, but let's not forget the year Alexei Ramirez is having.

AL Rookie of the Year: Longoria, Ramirez

I'm not sure when the award is announced.  Good question.  When I look at the stats the biggest difference between the two is strikeouts.  I've heard some announcers say Ramirez just won't take a walk which would make me believe he would have a high strikeout count.  Not so.  The guy's a great athlete and I see a bright future.

When is the award announced? I think Longoria gets it, but you're right, Ramirez must at least get some consideration. He had an awesome year and made a great impact helping the Sox make it to the playoffs. He should be a contributor for the next several years on the South Side.
