Morning After: chargers vs patriots

YESSSSS! I am still celebrating after last nites overall dominating victory by the Chargers over none other than the hated Patriots. Now the chargers do not like the pats, thats just the facts, so to not only beat them but to clobber the pats was exciting for the team and the fans. That was the best all around game by the chargers by far. Here are some thoughts:

Wow, Philip Rivers and those tall receivers stepped it up big time. I mean on the first play of the game for the bolts it was a deep throw to Vincent Jackson and that set the tone for the rest of the game. Jackson and Malcom Floyd had big days and Rivers had another huge game. Antonio Gates is doing better and i think he is near 100% which is great. LaDainian Tomlinson played better and hopefully he just keeps improving. The offense overall was great with scoring 30 points.

This is the defense that the chargers fans have been waiting for all season, they were tough tonight and let nothing come easy for the pats. Matt cassell looked confused all night and Randy Moss was simply dominated by Quentin Jammer. The biggest key, though, was the defensive line(espically Jamal Williams) stepping it up and putting some pressure on the qb. The biggest plays of the game was when the bolts d was able to stop the pats when they had 1st and goal from the one. I mean that was huge! I couldnt believe. I think the defense is finally starting to play alot tougher

Special teams coverage did good by simply swarming the returner every time he got to the 20. My favorite was when Brandon Siler simply leveled the pats returner, that was great. I am, however, concerned with Nate Kaeding, he appears to be missing some kicks he should be making. He needs to step up his game

Overall it was a great game for the bolts with great coaching by Norv and Ted. The defense played tough and the offense aired it out. Lets hope it stays that way against the Bills next week

go bolts and go red sox

"I'm just glad to hear that you think i have some good insight"

Appearently so does CBS.  I see you have a writer's shield today.  Congrats.

Got confirmation from the KC fan for some support.  Now I  just need a Raiders fan on board.

Great, that helps me out too.  It lets me focus more on the overview and direct folks to the locals who know way more about thier home team than I do.  Feel free to chime in with any idea you think would be interesting as well.  Thought maybe we could compare AFC West to East QBs or RBs.

I've sent a message off to someone who is a Raider fan and am waiting to hear back from them.  Thier post seemed to be pretty balanced.  Go figure, I don't have any Raider fans who have selected me in thier Favs.  Also contacted someone who I regularly correspond with from KC seeking assistance.  Hope this works out.  Thanks again. - Boozers

Chargers killed this week.  Long road trip ahead the next few weeks.  Yikes, London hope they get frequent flyer miles.

Morning After: chargers vs patriots

LTowns515.  Good to see the Chargers recovered.  I thought I would ask you this first.  I've been reading your posts on the Chargers and it's got some good insights.  I was able to post my first blog this week on the AFC West.  It seemed like most people wrote about their own team, which is natural.  I thought I could do something a little different.  I would like to take the best of the AFC West performances with the intention of comparing the rest of the AFC.  Unless you have a problem I would like to referance your Blog for readers seeking more insight about the Chargers.  What do you think?  I don't know about you but its about time the AFC West starts to get a little more recognition.  I would like to find someone in KC and Oakland that are willing to do the same thing.  Now the intent of my Blog isn't to provide a forume to yap at each others team, but like I said, get more recognition for all of us collectively.  I've got some good will with a few of the Chief fans, but don't have any conact with any Raiders fan.  If you know of anyone that could or would be willing to help please pass the information along.

Anyway, check out my blog, see what you think, and I'm open to suggestions if you think this could go somewhere.  Best of luck.  Boozers
