Crennel's time about up

According to CantonRep.com, Romeo Crennel could be fired after this season. Crennel reportedly is making $4 million a season through 2011. If owner Randy Lerner fires him, they can negotiate the settlement, but Crennel is due $12 million.

Lerner said that money will not play a part in any decision he makes, but if the owner rids himself of both General Manager Phil Savage and Crennel, it could cost him as much as $20 million.

Crennel's time about up

No, no, no.. they can't possibly keep Crennel as head coach next season! He seems to be a very nice man, but he's no head coach! If he's man enough to admit he's not head coach material and would be willing to stay with the Browns as our defensive coordinator, THAT I would definately consider!

My first choice for head coach, if he makes himself available, would be Bill Cowher. If not, Marty's the man! If not Marty, then I would offer Brian Billick the position. He should have been hired over Butch Davis to begin with! He also has a successful record working with Phil Savage. They were successful together in Baltimore, why not here in Cleveland?

I think the browns should fire both of them and hire marty shothmier as GM and hire bill cowher as head coach. marty has a nose for talent. I also think the browns should trade braylon edwards for a draft pick and a defensive back. my choice would be philly for lito sheppard. trade derek anderson and a draft pick to st louis for orlando pace. that would make a awesome pair joe thomas and orlando pace as tackles. Then i would trade kellen winslow to detroit for alot of draft picks like a 2 round pick and a 3 and 5 round draft picks. steve heiden did a nice job this year.

I'd start talking to Cower. If he wants complete control ditch them (Savage and Crennel) both. If not keep Savage. But Crennel HAS to go! This team has too much talent to be playing like this. The only Hope for Crennel is for him to win out but with the play calling this year that's not going to happen.
