Texans could be interested in LaDainian Tomlinson

USA Today reports that the Houston Texans have been mentioned as a potential destination for former Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson.

Tomlinson has said he wants to join a Super Bowl-caliber team with an established quarterback. Houston is coming off its first winning season, has an explosive offense and maturing defense.

The Texans struggled to run the ball in 2009.

Barry Sander's should be at the top of that list way ahead of Emmitt Smith. Smith had the greatest offensive line ever

I'll believe this when I hear the Texans have signed LT.  The Texans have tried older running backs before only to get burned.  I don't see them going for one of these running backs over the age of 30.  I think they address the running back situation in the draft.

I don't know what the Chargers were thinking in the first place by releasing LaDainian, I am a San Francisco 49ers fan and would jump at the chance to sign him. I think he is one the greats and should have been treated more fairly, I rank him in the top 15 of Running Backs all-time.

1. Jim Brown
2. Emmitt Smith
3. Walter Payton
4. Barry Sanders
5. Earl Campbell
6. Gayle Sayers
7. LaDanian Tomlinson
8. Marcus Allen
9. Eric Dickerson
10. Tont Dorsett
11. Franco Harris
12. Marshall Faulk
13. Curtis Martin
14. Thurman Thomas
15. John Riggins

What do the Texans think they are getting in Tomlinson? The Texans struggled to run the ball last year, so did Tomlinson. He said coming into last year he was as healthy as he had been in years, and still struggled early. He is definately not better than  Slaton at this point in their respective carrers, Tomlinson would be back-up.

LT would be a excellent addition to the Texans offense...going back home and with the Texans could prove the Chargers wrong for releasing him and maybe come back to haunt them...
