According to a report in the Philadelphia Daily News , the Eagles recently welcomed former Colts cornerback Marlin Jackson for a visit, with designs on signing him as a safety.

The story claims the chance of Jackson being signed to an Eagles contract by Wednesday are "pretty good" despite other sources claiming Jackson will visit the Jets first.

Jackson has had injury troubles for the past two seasons, hurting both of his anterior cruciate ligaments in separate incidents.

Marlin Jackson's surgically repaired knees didn't scare off the Philadelphia Eagles.

They signed the free agent defensive back to a two-year contract.

A 2005 first-round draft pick by the Indianapolis Colts, Jackson is coming off a pair of season-ending knee injuries. He missed the second half of 2008 with a torn ACL in his right knee and returned in 2009 before tearing the ACL in his left knee in a November practice.
