Redskins trade-a-thon: Haynesworth next?

The hysteria surrounding the Redskins' landing of former Eagles QB Donovan McNabb in a trade hasn't even settled yet, and the 'Skins are already eyeballing another big deal.

This time, they're reportedly looking for offers for DT Albert Haynesworth , says the Washington Post .

Haynesworth was paid a monsterous $21 million bonus by the Redskins on April 1, but already, coach Mike Shanahan has apparently asked GM Bruce Allen to start looking for teams that might want to deal for him.

The team officially declined comment to the Post , but flatly denied trade rumors to ESPN.

hich cited people familiar with the situation in noting that the Redskins would prefer to send Haynesworth elsewhere before the team's minicamp on April 16, to avoid any possible distractions in the event that Haynesworth attends the voluntary camp.

Redskins trade-a-thon: Haynesworth next?

If he gets traded his contract is a non issue as the skins will have payed his bonus so you would only be on the hook for his salary and that is non-garenteed so you would owe him nothing if you cut him.

I think the Redskins are smart for wanting to trade him but i do not believe that they will find a suitor because no one wants to take on his outrageous contract that the skins gave him,

RB Lynch and a 5th Rd pick for Haynesworth?

Haynesworth has a motivation problem but he might be well mentored by Marcus Stroud. The Bills would benefit tremendously if this guy would remember how to put forth effort. The Skins need to dump his salary. Sounds like a good match. The Bills need three players to be a sneaky sleeper team this season, a DT, OLT and a QB. This type of deal would start them on that track before the draft.
