The Jacksonville Times-Union reports that Jaguars cornerback Rashean Mathis is skipping the team's voluntary organized team activities as he holds out for a new contract.

Mathis has two years remaining on his existing contract, which was originally for $25.5 million over five years.

Jags coach Jack Del Rio reportedly was asked if the team was talking about an extension for Mathis or if they would offer him a new contract. He responded "no" to both inquiries.
