The Bergen Record reports that the New Jersey Nets have exchanged trade proposals with the Houston Rockets, with a specific scenario sending Vince Carter and Josh Boone to the Rockets in exchange for Ron Artest , Luther Head and Carl Landry .

However, the San Antonio Spurs are also in the mix for a potential Carter trade. Sources tell the Bergen Record that the Spurs are willing to send Roger Mason, Jr. , George Hill and Bruce Bowen to the Nets in order to get Carter, although such a deal would require the Nets to make some additional moves to clear space on the roster.

No deal is said to be imminent, but with the deadline on Thursday, talks are expected to Heat up quickly.

Carter attracts interest from Texas teams

Who wouldn't want Vinsanity Vince Carter as he is playing some good ball and should continue to thrive for at least two more years with some good players and on a playoff/title contending team.

The state of Texas shouldn't be the only ones talking and the Nets would be wise to get the most for their money--err Carter.  I still think the New Jersey is building with a mentality of the young guys and their point guard Harris is a great corner piece to start.

Come on other contenders and bring your offers.  I would love to see Vince and LeBron James on the same team or even Vince with the Houston Rockets.  He can be a support for an ailing and injury prone friend and family member of T. McGrady.
