For those reading this blog, I want to say thank you... Hopefully I get better with practice, so send all comments and feedback my way.
I'm a huge New England sports fan, most notably the Celtics. My dad raised me on Celtics basketball of early and mid 80's, so I definitely lucked out there. For me, the NBA (competition-wise) will never be better than it was in those days. A few teams stood alone on seperate coasts, but on any given night you could be facing tough teams from Philly, Detroit, Milwaukee and New York in the East and Houston, Dalls and Golden State in the West. Speaking of Golden State, do you remember RUN TMC with Timmy, Mitch and Chris?
Anyways, the Celtics are looking good so far this season, though I would have liked to have seen them sweep the recent road trip. The potential Finals preview against Houston was as good as advertised and in my opinion helped them remind everyone they are still king of the hill until someone tries to dethrone them come June. The new Big Three look even better with a year together under their belt and hopefully they can stay healthy the whole way. Speaking of staying healthy, I'm surprised Doc has kept RayRay out there for as many minutes as he has. None of those three superstars, including Jesus Shuttlesworth, are getting any younger and I think the team would be best served to conserve their minutes logged. Even when KG is on the bench he seems to exude more energy and passion than some of the guys running up and down the court, but no real surprise there. Having KG also allows Boston to not get complacent with banner no. 17 - he simply wouldn't allow it. Given his hunger and the team chemistry they are the clear favorites in the East and have shown they can handle everything the West has to throw at them. LA (Lakers of couse) has looked like a favorite again, but I'm reserving judgment until I see a Finals re-match...
That's all for the first blog - let me know what you think!
