Can They Do it

The Celtics are looking primed for another run at the title. Kendrick Perkins is looking like a beast with 11 blocks in the last two games. Leon Powe (my favorite player) is teaming up with Tony Allen to supplement a very good bench which also includes the energy ball Glen Davis. if their is one thing that will be this teams downfall it is freethrow shooting, a putrid 69% is just not going to get it done. Luckily the Garden is proving to be a very daunting place to play for opponents with a perfect record at home its early but it looks good so far

Can They Do it

I would have to give it to Paul,  stats or no stats.  He has more ways to score than Bird did and played on by far worse teams, beating double teams like he was a knife with legs and ball handling skills.  But an arguement could be made,  on the first BirdMan that he was more like a KG type of player when it came to changing the way your team plays with intense motivation...thats what I see from KG when he's on the court with Boston.  That being said,  I'd rather have Paul on my team. ( if I had Bird to,  he'd start at PF )

Can They Do it

Leon Powe is my favorite player even before he pulled off the dunk prominently featured in my avatar. Rondo is so close to being all star caliber if only he made his free throws he would be getting close to 20 points per game

Yes They Can

It definitely looks good up to this point.  I think Perk will be a huge factor in this season.  If he can keep blocking shots and stay out of foul trouble good things will happen.  Leon Powe keeps getting better and better.  He is explosive offensively and gives the Boston Garden a pulse on his amazing dunks.  I love hearing the crowd roar.  Another reason why they are so good at home.  I also think Eddie House will continue to be a good asset to the team with his 3pt range.  Also if the big 3 can stay healthy that will make the run for another title a lot easier.  You are right about freethrows.  Rondo is shooting 50% on freethrows and a lot of other players need to pick it up.  It'll be fun to watch the defending champs this season.  Should be a great season.  I don't see why they can't do it again.
