Clemson vs South Carolina

Sat is the day we have been waiting for.  South Carolina travels north to play Clemson.  I am not going to go into Stats or how the series has played out over the years.  When these two teams meet nothing is what is should be and any team can come away with a huge victory.  For Clemson is means a wining season, For South Carolina is means great recruits that are on the line, it means an end to great year with a great chance for the Outback Bowl.  USC has more to gain with a win then a loss for Clemson.  Clemson has already lost.  Its season has been a bust and this one game may determine  the coaching situation up north.  I am partial and will be cheering on those Gamecocks.  So lets go Gamecocks. But I do pray for a good game, no injuries even though it may be messy with the rain that has been called for. For all those going God speed and have fun.

Clemson vs South Carolina

I don't see how the ACC has 10 teams in the Bowls when the highest ranking is what 15.  The SEC did have a down year and some team like G Tech got really good wins.  I would still take SEC over ACC any year in Football.  We still have at least 3 teams in the top 10 all year long and the only ones who really beat us are ourselves.  But once again we are on the verge to an 3rd consective NC.  Haven't seen that from the ACC in what 20 years?

Fans being Fans

I was at the NC State game when we put a big stomping to you, and yes, I'm glad we played you at the beginning of the season instead of the end but every Gamecock fan walking out of Williams-Brice knew even though we beat State, we were not a very good football team.  State just had one of those games that nothing worked.  Before you criticize fans chanting "SEC, SEC", do you not think next year if State can pull an upset and beat us that State fans wouldn't be chanting, "ACC, ACC."  It's just being in the "SEC" brings more pride when you play for the best football conference in the country even in off years.  "ACC" can have their basketball but it will NEVER be known as a football conference. In fact, the ACC was the butt of jokes all season long on national tv.

Clemson vs South Carolina

Well, I can honestly say that I have never been happier to see the Cocks lose.  I am an NCSU alum and was ticked off to the nth degree when the South Carolina fans started chanting "SEC, SEC" during the whipping we got during that first game.  This is not a dig on SC, but on the almighty SEC, which went 1-2 against the ACC this week, with the only win posted by the best team in the country.  I am not about to jump on the SEC bandmagon right now.  Let me see, we have UF, extremely good and worth every penny.  Then there is Bama and while it is a huge accomplishment to stay undefeated, there biggest win was against UGA, really?  Third best team in the SEC is UGA, right? And they just got beat by the third best team in the ACC.  After that, where does the SEC stand??? #4 Ole Miss? LSU HAHAHA.  Even Vandy, who beat SC and Ole Miss, just happened to lose to two of the worst teams in the ACC this year.  And then there are the bowls ACC=10 bowl eligible, SEC=8, Big 12 & Big 10=7, Big East=6, Pac 10=5.

Now I know that Bama and UF are at the top along with 3 teams in the Big 12, but I kinda feel like those who were chanting "SEC" during that first game are whining "ACC" now.
