Conference Championship Picks

0-4 last week that's pretty bad.  I'm sure I wasn't the only one though, who saw Arizona coming?

Alright, another week of rematches, the Steelers and Ravens played twice already and the Eagles beat Arizona in Philly on Thanksgiving night.

AFC Championship Game

Baltimore @ Pittsburgh

When I think about this game I think about the Packers and Vikings from a few years ago when they played in the playoffs and the Packers won the regular season games but lost at home in the wild card game.  The Vikings weren't even a good team that year, so it proved how hard it is to beat a team three times in one season.  The same saying goes for college basketball where sometimes teams play four times in one season if they see each other in their conference tournament and the big dance.  If you look at the first two meetings between these two, the Ravens easily could be the team that won both meetings.  A huge second half by Pittsburgh in the first meeting, and the huge last drive in the second game is the difference between this game being played in Pittsburgh and not Baltimore.  If there's one team that won't be phased by the crowd defensively, it's the Ravens.  However, I do think Joe Flacco is finally going to make a mistake and in the end the Ravens D won't be able to bail them out.  I know it's hard to beat a team three times in one season but the Steelers looked sharp last week and they realize it will take their best game to advance.  Mike Tomlin also has a lot to prove because Bill Cowher had a lot of home championship games that he lost.  Ultimately, experience on the offensive side of the ball and a tough home crowd will help the Steelers edge by the Ravens.

Philadelphia @ Arizona

For two weeks I've picked against the Cardinals and I really want to pick against them this week, but I won't.  I think some people are underestimating what that crowd will be like and how jacked up that defense will be.  The Eagles have had some serious troubles on offense in the playoffs that have been overlooked because of how good the defense has been.  Kurt Warner and I can't believe I'm saying this, the Cards' D, will be the two biggest factors in this game.  If he doesn't let Philly score on defense, and he puts at least 3 tds on the board they'll win.  A pass rush is key for the Cardinals defense.  A Steelers/Eagles Super Bowl is sexy, but I don't think it's going to happen.

You are a moron, the site you picked said that the Cards would win when you take into consideration the 4 point spread, not win the game, learn more about bets and spreads before you talk out of your butt

WTF are people talking about. The Cards O - dominant!!!!!!!! Yeah right, they have no running at all, the last two games were flukes. The Eagles don't let anyone run on them and let the least amount of passing touchdowns in NFC. Zona people quit smoking the good stuff.

Eagles 28

Cards 20

Westbrook will hit a long TD for sure and McNabb won't be sacked at all. The Cards D doesn't scare anyone. You going to tell me their better than the Giants, Vikings, or even Eagles D, never will happen.

Obviously you are an idiot, lets break this down.  A crutch is something that holds an object or in this case a team up.  So me saying the crutch that has been the philly defense is removed this week, means that phillys defense has gotten this team where they are, but the Cards offense is dominate enough to remove this crutch and result in a Philly tumble.   Mistype plus total lack of comprehension equals, you as a joke sir.

"The crutch that has been the Philly defense"....!!!! You is are an idiot. The defense has carried the Eagles during this run.  I just feel that stats don't lie and Warner is 1-5 career against the Eagles with more interceptions than TD's. He has averaged just around 220 yardws per game against them. One major strength of the Eagles is their secondary which is able to match up against Arizona.  Yes, Fitzgerald will get his but the rest of the Eagles should be abale to contain Arizona's other receivers, especially a 70% Boldin enough to win the game and much better than ATL and Carolina.  In the end the Eagles are just the better team here. Arizona is no push over however, the Giants and Giant stadium is much tougher to play than Arizona and the Cards stadium.  It will be loud but there will be 30,000 strong Eagles fans there as well.  In the End the Eagles prevail. Wow, you really think that the Cardinals defense is going to hold the Eagles to 13 points?  Have you seen their last two games against far better defenses in New York and Minnesota, and the crowd noise will probably not be any worse than it was in the Metrodome.  I see the Eagles sacking Warner at least 3-4 times and forcing him into a couple of picks. Nice cinderella story cardinals but the slipper is going to break this week.
