Early Top 5 Linebackers

1. Rey Maualuga ILB USC - Best inside linebacker. He is simply great. Top 15 pick.

2. Aaron Curry OLB Wake Forest - Best outside linebacker. Will be very good pro. Likely top 10 pick.

3. James Laurinaitis ILB Ohio State - In most years he would be the best ILB. Solid in all aspects. Likely late first round pick.

4. Brian Cushing OLB USC - Very good OLB. I think he is slightly overrated, but he extremely talented. Likely top 25 pick.

5. Scoot McKillop ILB Pittsburgh - Underrated. All he does is make plays. Will be tackle machine. Likely 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Next In Line: Clint Sintim OLB Virginia, Clay Matthews OLB USC, Darry Beckwith ILB LSU, Marcus Freeman OLB Ohio State

Early Top 5 Linebackers

IMO by picking Rey Maualuga or Brian Cushing your defense instantly improves, those guys are sure to make a huge impact in the NFL.

I love Maualuga as a player. He will be the next Ray Lewis, & I don't mean his off the field activities. The other USC guys are underrated. Cushing & Matthews will both be solid OLBs in the NFL.

I think like most that Aaron Curry is the best linebacker. Don't get me wrong, Maualuga will be great, but Curry will be better.

Early Top 5 Linebackers

I actually agree with you on the top 5. It is nice to see someone give Scott McKillop some respect. He will be a Zach Thomas type.

Great linebacker class. The top 4 guys will be multiple pro bowl players. I understand that McKillop is a very solid player, but I'd rather have Sintim.
