New York Yankees - The New York Yankees are the favorites in the American League Eastern Division. I definitely agree with what the first three people that responded said, this is another well written blog entry. The information in it is absolutely accurate and is definitely without any prejudice. Anyway, it is time to focus on some baseball. I am going to focus on the American League Western Division. While the American League Western Division does have a team that is the clear favorite in the Los Angeles Angels and a team that is clearly not in contention in the Seattle Mariners, there are still quite a bit of solid storylines. The most obvious one is the Los Angeles Angels. They have got to find a way to deal with the Nick Adenhart tragedy. Simply put, there is nothing that is harder to deal with in this life than the death of someone close to you. Other than that, the Angels have had a lot of injuries on their pitching staff. I believe once they are healthy they should run away with the division. However, that is only once their starting pitchers come back and prove they are healthy. If they are not healthy, this division is open for two other teams, the Texas Rangers and the Oakland Athletics. The Oakland Athletics only chance to contend is if their starting pitching does not act their age and does not have any growing pains. They are extremely young there, but they are also extremely talented. As for the Texas Rangers, they clearly have the best lineup in the division. If they could get average starting pitching on the season, they will definitely be in contention for the division title. I would go as far as saying if the starting pitching is rated in the middle of the American League at the end of the season, the Texas Rangers will win the American League Western Division. However, that is a big if.

I definitely agree with what the first two responders said, this is another well written blog entry. The information in it is pretty accurate and seems to be without any obvious prejudice. Anyway, I believe it's time to focus on some baseball. I am going to focus on the American League Central Division. Simply put, I consider it the most intriguing division in Major League Baseball. I see it as you could put all of the teams names in a hat and randomly pull out names and end up with the order that the teams will finish the season. In other words, every team in the division has a chance. That said, I do agree with you that the Chicago White Sox are the favorite, however slightly that is. They are a team that is solid all the way around and Carlos Quentin is a very underrated player. As for the Detroit Tigers, you can never count out a team that has the best player in the division and the best pitcher in the division, even though they are solid at best everywhere else, except for their hitting lineup. As for the Cleveland Indians, they have started slow, but they have the talent to compete. Grady Sizemore is great and Victor Martinez and Travis Hafner could possibly have good comeback seasons. Also, they need Carmona and Lee to pitch well if they have any chance. Now comes the Minnesota Twins. They are at least solid in every aspect of their game. If Mauer comes back and is healthy they should be right there in the division until the end of the season. As for the Kansas City Royals, this is the best team they have had in a few years. In order to compete in the division, they need breakout seasons from a few players, but it is entirely possible.

I second what the first responder said, this is another well written blog entry. The information in it is quite accurate and seems to be without any prejudice. Anyway, it is time to focus on some baseball. I am going to focus on the American League Eastern Division. Simply put, I consider it the best division in Major League Baseball without question. They arguably have the three best teams in Major League Baseball in it. I do agree with you that the New York Yankees are the favorite to win the divsion. They have the best lineup by far with arguably the two best hitters in the division. Also, they have arguably the best starting pitcher in the division in CC Sabathia. Also, their bullpen is very good as is the rest of their starting pitchers. There is no team that can matchup with the New York Yankees starting pitchers. That said, the team that comes closest to doing so is the Boston Red Sox. They have very good starting pitchers. They also have the best bullpen in the division. Their lineup is solid as well. I consider the Boston Red Sox the favorite to be the American League Wild Card winner. The other team in contention for both the division and wild card in the Tampa Bay Rays. They are solid all the way around except for in the field, where they are phenomenal. Also, Evan Longoria is starting this season amazingly well. It should be an interesting season, that's for sure.

This is another well written blog entry. The information in it is extremely accurate and does not seem to have any prejudice in it. Anyway, on to the baseball side of it. I definitely agree with you about who is the favorite in each division. The New York Yankees improved so much in the offseason that I would pick them ahead of both the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. It is only slightly however. I think either the Tampa Bay Rays or Boston Red Sox end up being the American League Wild Card team. As for the American League Central Division, I fill like you are right about every team being in contention. Simply put, I would not be surprised if any one of the teams won the division. The White Sox should be considered the favorite at this point, but with every team in the divsion in contention, I would not be surprised if they finished in last place. As for the American League Western Division, I disagree about one thing. I would put a third team in contention for the American League Western Division Title and that team is the Texas Rangers. I do expect the Los Angeles Angels to win the American League Western Division, but with the injuries and the unfortunate passing of Nick Adenhart I expect it to be pretty close. I actually expect the Texas Rangers to finish in second place and be only about five games back at the end of the year. I expect the Oakland Athletics ot be slightly behind the Texas Rangers and obviously, the Seattle Mariners will be nowehere near them.
