Stefanski says Howard should be suspended

Sixers GM Ed Stefanski told radio station WIP in Philadelphia Wednesday that Dwight Howard should be suspended and likened his elbow to the head of Samuel Dalembert to a punch.

“I have no idea what the league will do, but to me the rule is black and white, it’s clear," Stefanski said. "What I saw was clear. I felt an elbow above the shoulders made contact on someone’s head and it wasn’t part of the play.”

I agree.

Stefanski says Howard should be suspended

I have to agree with you here Berger.  It may be the first time!  Haha.

Anyway, as much as I like Dwight Howard, that elbow was uncalled for.  It was dirty, dangerous, and a bad reaction to negative emotions to say the least.  He should see a one game suspension to keep that behaviour in check.  Hopefully it doesn't cost his team a seasons worth of work, but if it does then I guess the lesson is learned.  It's the punishment that is given in situations like this that make you think harder before creating a crime scene like Ron Artest and company got caught up in a few years ago.  There has to be serious consideration for something so obviously flagrant.
