ok first of all i just want to say i am so glad that the f-ing football season is finally here and Fantasy Football Drafts will be happening in august and some the first week of september so i Guess for my first blog i guess i wil ask for your help in selecting my keepers this year its pretty much a set deal but maybe i can be swayed ok so first off my keeper rules are a little different than most leagues we get to keep a player in the Draft Where he was originally Drafted so if u Drafted Adrienne peterson in the 3rd Round you get to keep him in the 3rd round till you dont want him anymore  ..like that would happen and if you pick someone off the waiver wirethat you end up keeping it counts as last pick in draft... so my choices are Mr woderful himself Tom Brady 1st Rnd. Brian Westbrook 2nd Rnd.  Marshawn Lynch 5th Rnd. Brandon Marshall 8th Rnd Cris Johnson 12th rnd and my favorites kurt Warner 18th pick (waiver wire pickup) and Steve Slaton 19th last pick(waiver wire pickup)so as of right now i am keeping Brady 1st rnd cris Johnson 12th rnd and Steve Slaton 19th pick so tell me what you think ...what would you Do.................................
..ps we get Bonus pts for big play tds  40 + yds

Welcome toFantasy Football 2009 Q&A

PhilliePhanatic,  i will have to admit 1st that i have bever played in such a big league 12 is my usual staple. but i can say as another Tom Brady owner in 2 keeper leagues that Brady is hand down the person you want to keep. I want to start off by saying i know pretty much all brady owners that had Tom Brady last year are a little jaded unerstandably... But brady is Ranked #1 or #2  is most magazine i have read and Kevin Smith has been ranked around  #16,17,18 which is a 3rd rounder at best well a 2nd rnder maybe in your Giant league...lol but Take another Chance on Knowshon Moreno if he is available or someone Like Derrick ard who could be a Beast for Tampa Bay this year....Jonathan Stewart is another who people might have forgot about because of DeAngelo Williams, but i see him have more yard and a couple more Tds so i hope i stared you in the right Direction ...good luck add me as Favorite and i will do the same  .....ShatteredDreamz

Welcome toFantasy Football 2009 Q&A

Ok I'm the #1 pick in a 16-team keeper league.  I can keep either Tom Brady or Kevin Smith.  My initial thought would be to keep Brady of course, but my gut feeling tells me to keep Smith.  I don't know if I'm just crazy or thinking too much, but I don't like the fact that I gotta wait 31 more picks before I select again and end up with a tier 5 or 6 running back.  I feel pretty confident that Smith could be a 1,200 yard rusher w 50 receptions and 7 to 9 tds and be my solid RB2 after picking either Gore, Slaton, LT, etc. with my first pick overall.  Plus, Bradys injury is a little concern of mine but could easily put up 30+ tds this year as well.  Please help!!!

If you only keep three then I would say that Slaton with your last pick and Chris Johnson with your 12th pick are no brainers.  Then it would depend on where you draft at, and whos keeping who in front of you.  If your drafting in the beginning of the draft and the people ahead of you are keeping a qb then maybe you can go with another option and pick up Brady with your pick.  Then again the person might say forget the qb they got and pick Brady anyway.  So I would say that third spot is up in the air, alot of people might be keeping there 1st rounders, and if you dont you might be at the top, which would allow you to keep say Marshall for an 8th rounder and still be able to pick up Brady in the first round.  Just an idea because you would get more value with marshall for an 8th round pick.  Either way your going into the season ahead  of the competition.  Im in a similar scenario and need help decideing who to keep, check out my blog and let me know what you think.  It dosent go by what round you picked them in.

Thanks Billyxxxho

i think you should keep the three you named it makes the most sense Tom Brady will be back on top Cris Johnson is young and a beast and Steve Slaton with the last pick is brilliant how did you ever pull that one off?

How many players do you get to keep?  If it's as many as you want, then you might as well keep everyone you mentioned.  You have alot of value on the players where you drafted them and I would keep them all.
